Who We Are
Waters Edge Bible Church (WEBC) is a new non-denominational church located in Clermont, Florida. We welcome all individuals seeking God’s love and direction through the powerful, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God. Our doors are open to every person who wants to know more about Jesus Christ and how to grow in His love and grace.
How is WEBC different from other churches?
Our mission, based on Isaiah 61:1-3, is to be a church that proclaims the good news of Jesus Christ in order to restore lives; give hope; transform broken people to wholeness; and celebrate Jesus Christ through Christ-honoring praise and worship.
In other words, WEBC exists to glorify God by equipping His people to be instruments for Biblical transformation locally and around the world.
Our motto is “Fishing for lost and hurting souls discipling them with the truth of God’s Word”.
We accomplish this through:
1. Expository Preaching
We seek to bring people to the full knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ by equipping them with a wisdom and understanding from God’s Word which enables them to live lives that please God and impact their community and the world for Christ. That’s why we study the Bible verse by verse.
2. Christ Centered Praise & Worship
We seek to glorify God by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit for the salvation of the lost and edification of the church. At WEBC, we exist to bring honor and glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by worshipping Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).
3. Discipleship Focused Soul Care
We believe that God’s inerrant Word is all powerful, inerrant, authoritative, and sufficient to address every area of life (2 Peter 1:3). We also believe that the Word of God is the only source with the power and ability to change man’s heart (where all our issues of life come from (2 Tim. 3:16-17)). We disciple people on how to know, obey, and apply all Scriptures daily to their lives in order to bring honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. Discipleship is at the core of everything we are and do.
4. Being Family Focused
The concept of family was introduced in the very beginning and is extremely important in the Bible. God’s plan for creation was for men and women to marry and have children. A man and a woman would form a “one-flesh” union through marriage and they, with their children, become a family. We believe that the family is the most important building block to human society, and as such, it should be nurtured and protected.
5. Being Missions Minded.
We are engaged in global mission partnerships. We travel regularly on mission trips to reach the lost and engage churches in discipleship and missional training projects. Our Biblical counseling ministry (Grace Biblical Counseling Ministry) also provides Biblical counseling training to pastors and lay leaders in the US and overseas (Matthew 28:18-20).
